Our Research

We have wide interests in electrochemical science, that can be categorised approximately by:

Essentially, we’re interested in electrocatalysts, recycling of PGMs and critical materials, and most situations where an electron feels the need to be somewhere else in a hurry.

Despite being based in the School of Chemical Engineering, we’re really physical chemists working undercover….although we are known to welcome chemical engineers to the Group.

We have a range of equipment available, from commercial potentiostats (Autolab, Ivium) to bespoke potentiostats for specialised application (ultra high speed, ultra low noise), and can cover most electrochemical methods from stationary to hydrodynamic voltammetries, from fA to A currents, and from ns to s timescales.
